Job Title: Design & Development Engineer – Sheet Metal (Laser Cutting) Location: Nangli Sakrawati] Department: Product Development / Engineering Experience: 5 – 10 Years (Preferably in Sheet Metal / Fabrication Industry) Salary Range: ₹35,000 – ₹45,000 (Based on experience and capability) Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Design & Development Engineer experienced in Sheet Metal Fabrication and Laser Cutting & Programing in CNC / VMC / Laser Programing to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving metal components, assemblies, and products used in commercial kitchen equipment, industrial enclosures, or similar applications. Key Responsibilities: Design sheet metal components and assemblies using SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Inventor & Pro-E, Delcom, Develop fabrication drawings with proper tolerances, bend allowances, and laser cutting details. Coordinate with the laser cutting, bending, and fabrication/ Laeser Programing teams to ensure manufacturability and quality & Development. Create BOM (Bill of Materials) and maintain design documentation. Work closely with the production and procurement teams for new product development. Conduct design feasibility studies and suggest improvements to reduce cost and improve efficiency. Ensure designs comply with safety, structural, and quality standards. Support R&D and prototype development activities. Manage design changes and revision control. Collaborate with clients or internal teams for customization and design validation. Skills & Qualifications: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong experience in Sheet Metal Design & Fabrication / New Machine Design Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Sheet Metal Modules. Understanding of Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, Welding, and Powder Coating processes. Knowledge of GD&T, material selection, and tolerance analysis. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred Experience: Prior experience in commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, or industrial product fabrication industries. Experience with prototype to production transition. Exposure to new product development and cost optimization projects.
