Deputy Manager - Safety

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Management & Compliance:

  Monitor, analyze, and report safety performance metrics (TRIR, LTIR, near-miss, compliance scores) while ensuring adherence to ISO 45001, OHSAS, ESG, and statutory safety requirements.

• EHS Systems & Documentation:

  Maintain and oversee all EHS and hazardous management systems, work permits, SOPs, safety signages, and instructions to strengthen operational safety.

• Risk Assessment & Hazard Control:

  Conduct regular corporate and plant safety reviews, risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement advanced safety tools to prevent accidents, incidents, and occupational illnesses.

• Fire & Emergency Management:

  Oversee fire protection systems, emergency preparedness initiatives, fire drills, mock drills, and crisis management protocols in compliance with statutory regulations.

• Team Leadership & Culture:

  Provide strategic direction to the safety function, mentor and guide the safety team, and foster a safety-first culture with accountability across all levels of the organization.

• Incident & Audit Management:

  Lead accident/incident/near-miss investigations, implement CAPA, and ensure compliance during internal, customer, and external safety audits, including timely closure of findings.

• Safety Awareness & Engagement:

  Chair safety committee meetings, drive awareness campaigns, toolbox/system talks, and training programs to embed a proactive safety mindset and promote occupational health and wellness.

  Qualification & Skills:

• Bachelors/masters degree in any degree or engineering with a recognized Safety qualification (Must have RLI certification).
• Proven experience in leading corporate & plant EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) operations.
• Manage Multi-plant safety by guiding team members (Sohna, Manesar & Chennai).
