Job Description

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from concept to completion. This role requires ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

Lead end-to-end projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Develop and manage project schedules based on key milestones.
Monitor progress, ensure compliance with standards, and secure necessary permits and approvals.

Risk & Stakeholder Management

Proactively identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and senior management.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth execution.

Budget & Procurement Oversight

Track expenses, forecast financial needs, and prepare monthly cost reports.
Manage procurement of services, materials, and equipment.
Select and evaluate vendors based on reliability and project fit.

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Provide regular updates on progress, financials, and risk assessments

The Person

Educational Background:

Chemical / Mechanical Engineer with Min. 6-8 years of Projects Planning experience associated with large scale chemical / agro manufacturing industry.
Graduated from IIT/NIT /LIT .

Knowledge Levels:

General Awareness: Basic understanding of concepts.
Working Knowledge: Broad job knowledge for daily activities.
Functional Expert: Certified with strong conceptual knowledge. Should be savvy with Project Scheduling software like MSP, Primavera, etc. Should also be capable of estimation of resources requirement for various jobs across various construction disciplines, in order to meet the time targets. Should be able to identify the key contributors towards schedule slippage & recommend the Construction team with remediation measures to bridge the gap.
Mastery: Subject matter expert in Project Planning & Scheduling.
