As a Legal Counsel, your role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts such as vendor agreements, NDAs, MoUs, and service-level agreements. You will provide legal support for corporate transactions, regulatory filings, and internal governance matters. It is essential to advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, compliance requirements, and strategies for dispute resolution. You will also liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities when necessary. Maintaining and updating legal documentation, templates, and contract repositories will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will support litigation management and coordinate with legal advisors on case strategies and documentation. Developing and implementing legal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance is another key aspect of your role. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, especially pertaining to data privacy, intellectual property, and sector-specific requirements, is crucial. Furthermore, you will be required to provide legal support for data privacy initiatives by drafting privacy policies, cookie policies, disclaimers, and internal data protection policies. Supporting the Data Privacy Team in implementing consent frameworks and managing privacy-related compliance is also expected. Drafting legal notices, managing responses to consumer grievances and regulatory notices, and assisting with ongoing litigation, including research, documentation, and coordination with external counsel, are essential duties. Maintaining records of all legal notices and litigation matters is part of your responsibilities. Your experience in legal risks, business processes, service levels, proprietary data, trademarks, intellectual property, and non-standard contract terms will be valuable. **Key Responsibilities:** - Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts - Provide legal support for corporate transactions and regulatory filings - Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and compliance requirements - Liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities - Maintain and update legal documentation and templates - Support litigation management and coordinate with legal advisors - Assist in developing and implementing legal policies and procedures - Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations - Provide legal support for data privacy initiatives - Support ongoing litigation and manage responses to legal notices **Qualifications & Experience:** - Bachelor's degree in law (LLB); Master's degree (LLM) preferred - 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal advisory - Strong understanding of Indian corporate laws, contract law, and regulatory frameworks - Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - Experience with litigation, dispute resolution, and corporate advisory In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, preferred skills for this role include experience with digital platforms, data privacy regulations, and intellectual property matters, familiarity with legal tech tools and contract lifecycle management systems, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as expertise in regulatory compliance and risk assessment.
