Job Description

Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager – HR (Payroll & Statutory Compliance) will be responsible for end-to-end payroll management, statutory compliance including EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity, and other employee-related HR processes. This role ensures accurate and timely processing, adherence to labor laws, and smooth HR operations while maintaining employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:1. Payroll Management

  • End-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Salary calculations, deductions, arrears, bonuses, reimbursements, leave encashment.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries.
  • Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement and reporting.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Manage EPF and ESI registration, contributions, reconciliations, and submissions.
  • Ensure Professional Tax (PT) compliance: calculation, deductions, filing, and payments.
  • Calculate, manage, and ensure timely payment of Gratuity as per Payment of Gratuity Act.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and other statutory requirements.
  • Assist employees with PF, ESI, PT, and Gratuity claims and settlements.

3. HR Operations

  • Maintain employee records, joiners, leavers, and personnel files.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and HR reporting.
  • Train and guide junior HR/Payroll staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist management in HR-related decision-making with data and insights.

4. Audits & Reporting

  • Prepare reports related to payroll, statutory compliance, PT, Gratuity, and HR metrics.
  • Support internal and statutory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Identify process improvements in payroll and statutory compliance to increase efficiency.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
