Deputy Manager - Business Intelligence

Purpose/Objective

To do market research on Indian coal, power, iron ore, other metals & minerals and other industries. Understand market dynamics, competition analysis, policy advocacy and legal & regulatory frameworks, etc. Collect, analyse and provide information on need basis. Prepare reports, databases, presentations and other conceptual notes as per management requirement & Data Collection etc.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Research and analysis on market development, Govt. policies on Indian coal mining industry for Commercial/Mine Developer Cum Operator (MDO) business opportunity and prepare notes as per Management requirement. - Prepare, maintain and periodically update databases on Indian Commercial/Captive coal blocks. - Maintain and update MDO business competitors Technical & Financial capabilities, for identification of qualifying parties as per qualification requirement (QR) published by various MDO tenders. - Data Collection and Updation on perodic basis. - Research, analysis, preparation and update of presentation for mining business- shortlisting of coal blocks, analysis on MDO tender/ auction timeline, production phasing, SWOT of existing business. - Circulation of daily news article among BD team on coal mining market developments, power market news relevant for coal mining. - Track tenders floated by various PSUs on MDO for coal mine, analysis of QR to prepare eligible parties list, tracking of coal washery tenders - Research and analysis on Indian coal-fired power market developments, policies from ministry and prepare notes as per business requirement. - To do custom research and analysis on other mining industries and any other relevant industries as per management requirement and prepare note on same.

Technical Competencies

Commercial Skills for Mining sector,Knowledge in guidelines/rules/regulations of Ministry of Coal / Ministry of Mines / IBM/ MoEF, DGMS and other statutory bodies,Current Affairs related to Mining Business,Assessment of Bidding documents,Data Collection & Report Preperation

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech Experiences: 3 to 5 Years relevant Experience
