Deputy Manager – Customer Service / Pricing (Logistics & Freight)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager – Customer Service / Pricing to join our Navi Mumbai team. The role involves handling pricing, vendor negotiations, and customer coordination for both ocean and air freight shipments.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing & Procurement

Negotiate competitive rates with shipping lines, transporters, and vendors.

Compare rates and secure the best pricing for higher profitability.

Provide quick and accurate quotations to customers.

Assist clients in choosing suitable equipment and estimating container needs.

Reduce costs for ocean freight and land-side operations.

Customer Service

Provide daily shipment status updates to customers.

Manage key accounts and ensure smooth shipment handling.

Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and overseas partners.

Ensure timely invoicing and follow-ups for payments.

Resolve issues promptly before they escalate.

System & Reporting (CargoWise)

Maintain accurate job and cost details in CargoWise software.

Share operation notes with accounts for smooth job closure.

Prepare and submit MIS reports to management.

Requirements

Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).

5–10 years of experience in logistics / freight forwarding.

Strong knowledge of ocean & air freight operations.

Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

Experience with CargoWise is an advantage.
