Deputy General Manager -Tendering & Contracts

Role & responsibilities

Tender Planning & Review

• Allocate tender work, guide site surveys, and review BOQs, scope, rate analyses, overheads, and profitability.
  
• Ensure timely tender submissions, review pre-qualification documents, prepare techno-commercial queries, and participate in pre-bid meetings.
  
• Review tender conditions, vendor quotations, resource planning, and project-specific presentations.
  

Techno-Commercial Coordination

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, finance, safety, and quality teams during tendering and negotiation stages.
  
• Support contract finalization and conduct internal kick-off meetings with execution teams.
  

Vendor Development

• Identify new specialized items and develop a strong vendor base for competitive pricing.
  
• Engage with manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors to expand procurement options.
  

Enquiry & Bid Management

• Track upcoming enquiries, evaluate eligibility, assign work to team members, and maintain updated tender status.
  
• Manage documentation for submitted, awarded, and closed tenders as per defined processes.
  

Contract & Documentation Management

• Maintain complete tender/contract documents (hard & soft copies), ensure proper archiving, and facilitate seamless handover to execution teams.
  

Reporting

• Prepare weekly tender status reports, quarterly business plans, and client-wise enquiry flow reports for management review.
  

Team Leadership

• Establish systematic tendering procedures, mentor team members, provide regular training, and build capability for independent working.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate having experience of leading tender team in civil contracting companies will be proffered.
