Role Purpose

Deputy General Manager Statutory Compliance & Approvals

timely processing, follow-up, and closure of statutory approvals

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Statutory Approvals Execution

• Execute statutory approval activities for assigned CO and DO NRO sites as per defined timelines.
• Coordinate with NDMs, SBDMs, SCO Teams, TPSPs, and LOI holders for preparation, submission, and follow-up of statutory applications.
• Track site-level statutory applications, approvals, renewals, and closures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, land, and local regulations at site level.

2. Liaison with Statutory Authorities

• Liaison with statutory authorities including PESO, NHAI, MoRTH, District Magistrate Offices, Forest Department, Police Administration, and local bodies for assigned sites.
• Visit statutory offices for application submission, inspections, and follow-ups.
• Support inspections and hearings and resolve routine statutory queries.
• Escalate complex, sensitive, or delayed matters to the GM.

3. Business & Channel Partner Support

• Provide operational statutory hand-holding to channel partners during construction and commissioning stages.
• Support SBDMs and NDMs by coordinating statutory activities aligned to network rollout plans.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with LOI holders and highlight site-level risks or delays.

4. Internal Coordination

• Coordinate with Retail Engineering (RE) teams for site finalization and statutory documentation.
• Ensure timely submission of SDA and statutory drawings to authorities.
• Track & Monitor performance of the Consultants and SCO Team for achieving Target.
• Support the GM in execution of statutory initiatives for CO and DO NRO sites.

5. MIS & Documentation

• Maintain accurate site-level MIS for statutory applications, approvals, and renewals.
• Ensure timely alerts for statutory renewals and closures.
• Submit periodic status updates and reports to the GM.
• Support audits and inspections as required.

6. TPSP & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with TPSPs for statutory execution at site level.
• Track TPSP timelines and deliverables.
• Facilitate processing of TPSP bills and escalate deviations to GM.

Skills & Experience

• Experience:

  1012 years in Network Development / Business Development / Channel Management.
• Exposure to statutory and regulatory approvals in infrastructure / network expansion preferred in Oil & Gas Industry.
• Strong coordination, follow-up, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.

Education

• Mandatory:

  BE / B.Tech

• Preferred:

  Full-time MBA (Marketing)

• Timely statutory approval closure for assigned sites
• Accuracy and completeness of site-level documentation
• Adherence to statutory timelines
• Coordination effectiveness with internal teams and partners

Required Details:-

1. Statutory Requirement required skills

• Fuel Retail background only
• Liasioning with Statutory Authorities in the State like PESO, NHAI, MoRTH, District Magistrate Offices, Forest Dept as applicable
• Candidates from these industries like GAS, LNG, CBG, CNG, Solar who have done Govt approvals PESO, NHAI, Forest etc will be right fit.
• Local language is a must

Education -

Skills -

• Necessary : Minimum 5 years experience in Business / Network Development / Channel Management.

Desired : Exposure to Statutory & Regulatory Compliance Activities.
