Role & responsibilities

Job Title -Sales and Marketing

Location Kolkata

Reports to DGM Sales and Marketing

Duties & Responsibilities to be Performed:

Sales Strategy Development:

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve organizational sales targets for pig iron.

  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and develop plans to capture them.

• Conduct regular market analysis to stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.

Business Development:

  • Identify, approach, and convert potential customers to drive sales growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to enhance market presence.

Marketing and Branding:

  • Collaborate with the Branding team to design and implement marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and product awareness.

• Develop product positioning strategies to strengthen the companys market position in the pig iron segment.

  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, brochures, presentations, and digital content.

    Identifying Export Areas:

  • Identify potential export markets for pig iron and develop strategies for international sales.
  • Study global market trends, export regulations, and customer requirements to tap into foreign markets.
  • Build relationships with international customers, agents, and distributors to expand the companys global footprint.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM):

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.

• Address customer complaints and queries promptly to maintain high levels of customer service. • Monitor customer feedback and incorporate it into sales and marketing strategies for continuous improvement. Sales

Forecasting and Budgeting:

• Prepare annual sales forecasts, budgets, and sales targets in collaboration with senior management.

• Monitor sales performance against targets and take corrective actions where necessary.

  • Ensure effective utilization of the sales budget to maximize ROI.

Market Intelligence and Reporting:

  • Gather and analyse market intelligence, including competitor analysis, pricing strategies, and industry trends to develop actionable insights.

• Provide regular sales performance reports to the senior management team and suggest strategies for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure sustained business growth.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work closely with production, logistics, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment and delivery.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide market feedback and help in developing new products or modifying existing ones.

Preferred candidate profile

MBA Marketing with minimum 10-12 years of experience in sales of Pig Iron.
