Deputy General Manager

Key Responsibilities1.
Strategic Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Jharkhand. Track and analyze state government priorities, public spending programs, and emerging sectors. Build a robust opportunity pipeline aligned with business goals. Conduct competitor and market intelligence analysis.2. Client Stakeholder Engagement Build and strengthen relationships with senior government officials and decision-makers. Engage with key departments such as Planning, IT, Industries, Rural Development, Urban Development, Agriculture, Health, and Finance. Represent the firm in meetings, workshops, and state-level events. Lead liaison with clients for ongoing and upcoming projects in the region, ensuring strong relationship management, issue resolution, and delivery support coordination.3. Bid Proposal Management Lead end-to-end proposal development evaluation, content coordination, submission, and follow-up. Review government RFPs/EOIs/RFQs and align them with organizational capabilities. Support technical, legal, and finance teams in bid preparation and compliance. Manage bid discussions, negotiations, and contract finalization.4. Partnership Ecosystem Development Identify and onboard strategic local partners and consultants. Build collaborative networks with technology partners, domain experts, and NGOs when relevant. Sustain strong relationships with consortium partners during bid and execution stages.5. Internal Coordination Reporting Coordinate with delivery teams to track project progress and support client engagement. Act as the regional point of contact to support operations/delivery teams in relationship management and resolution of client concerns. Align with corporate BD and leadership teams on strategy and progress. Maintain structured BD documentation and weekly/monthly business reporting.Qualifications Experience Engineering Graduate / Master s degree in Business, Public Policy, Economics, Engineering, or related fields. Minimum 12 years experience in business development, government advisory, or consulting. Proven experience in government tendering, project acquisition, and stakeholder management. Strong understanding of Jharkhand s policy landscape and government processes.Skills Competencies Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong proposal development and analytical skills. Sound understanding of government e-procurement and contract processes. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver results under timelines. High initiative, integrity, and ability to work independently in the field.Key Performance Indicators Revenue conversion and pipeline development. Successful acquisition of government and strategic projects. Strength of stakeholder relationships and account management. Bid quality, compliance, and win-rate improvement. Contribution to brand visibility and strategic positioning in the state.
