Deputy General Manager- Material Management

Job Purpose

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the organization’s objectives and goals.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing.
• Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and new procurement methodologies including use of technology
  

• Oversee the procurement budget including project related procurement and identify opportunities for cost saving and process improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
• Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  

• Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
