Job Description

As a senior lawyer within the Group Legal team, you will be an integral part of the legal vertical and will work closely on the transactions and matters involving the Company


You will encounter a large range of legal issues and interact with many stakeholders with different sets of expertise and responsibilities.

Collaborating with cross functional teams to support in strategic issues, corporate and commercial transactions/agreements and all kind of disputes.

Assist Group companies in high stake transactions and disputes from time to time.

Assisting in the documentation, negotiation, and execution of contracts, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, regulatory requirements.


Major Deliverables

Manage junior team-members in various assignments and to train them.

Identifying business and transaction risks in a timely manner and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders.

Working collaboratively and build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders across functions and various group companies.

Collaborate with and manage external counsels and law firms.

Participating and managing group projects and initiatives and provide legal insights.


Minimum 12 years of PQE and relevant experience gained at a leading domestic or international law firm and/or renowned corporate institution.

Qualified and eligible to practice law in India. Desired Experience • Experience in lending transactions, commercial collaborations and contracts (like licensing contracts and service contracts).

• Strong technical knowledge of fundamental legal principles.

• Working knowledge of litigations and arbitrations.

• Experience in mergers & acquisitions including NCLT schemes and cross-border transactions.

• Sound knowledge of Contract Act, Companies Act and Rules; SEBI Regulations (in particular LODR, Takeover Code, Insider Trading); Corporate Governance norms and policies, FEMA, RBI’s regulations applicable to CIC and NBFCs, Arbitration Act

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and growth mindset.

• Ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision

• Strong drafting, negotiation and legal analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

• General awareness of legal developments. Essential Attributes

• Ability to manage competing priorities, project-manage and co ordinate large projects, in a dynamic environment.

• Pragmatic with ability to strike appropriate balance between achieving the commercial goals of the business while protecting the interests of the Company..

• Ability to work collaboratively and build close rapport with internal stakeholders.

• Ability to adapt and apply legal skills in new contexts, to new businesses and subjects in which one may not have prior relevant experience, and willingness to develop and excel beyond comfort zone. Qualification LL.B / B.A. LL.B
