Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions
The role involves end- to-end ownership of the software development lifecycle, close collaboration with cross- functional teams and vendor partners, driving rollout of strategic initiatives, tracking and managing project milestones and mentorship of junior engineers

Key Responsibilities

Play a key role in tracking project rollout, reporting progress and addressing any risks to the project plan execution.
Collaborate closely with management, technical teams, and vendor partners to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Document and review System Architecture keeping industry best practices in mind
Create and maintain clear technical specifications and documentation.
Analyse user requirements and design scalable, fault-tolerant backend solutions.
Develop and maintain Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain backend systems and applications.
Collect and evaluate user feedback to drive product improvements.
Manage a team of Software Engineers across skill sets and conduct regular performance appraisals (feedback meetings, company appraisals, 1:1 meetings, etc
Aid Audit and Reporting teams in ensure 100% compliance
Develop, test, and refine high-quality code ensuring stability and compatibility.
Manage the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Provide Level 2 (L2/L3) application support and mentor junior engineers.
Aid Incident Management team in Incident Analysis and Reporting
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
Stay abreast with industry and regulatory developments

Required Skills & Expertise

Technical Expertise

Development Languages: Java, .Net, Angular or React (for Front-end)
Database Management: PostgreSQL, Aurora; database design, administration, and backups.
Cloud Infrastructure: Good understanding of AWS Services (experience in hosting, monitoring, and optimization)
Web Development: Python, Django, Bootstrap.
Optimization Tools: Familiarity with solvers like FICO or Gurobi is advantageous.
Experience in CI/CD pipeline development and management.
Experience with unit testing frameworks and practices.
Proficient in using version control systems (GIT, SVN).
Expertise in cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory and compliance frameworks desired.
Experience in IT audits, DR, and BCP implementation desired
