What you'll do!

The Demographic Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining patient demographic and insurance information received from client healthcare providers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring clean claims submission and timely reimbursement by verifying the accuracy and completeness of registration data within the internal and external practice management and electronic health record systems.

  • Review incoming registration or encounter information from client sites for completeness and accuracy
  • Enter and update patient demographic, insurance, and guarantor data in client systems according to established workflows and SLAs
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies that may delay billing or claim submission
  • Work with internal teams (charge entry, coding, billing) to resolve missing or inconsistent information
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all client confidentiality requirements
  • Participate in internal quality audits to ensure data accuracy and process consistency
  • Meet established productivity and accuracy goals
  • Support process improvement initiatives within the demographic data entry and registration workflow
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in healthcare data entry, patient registration, or revenue cycle operations (RCO vendor or billing company experience strongly preferred)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to meet daily productivity targets in a fast-paced, remote, or production-based environment
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards

  • Requires extended periods of computer use and data entry
