What would you do
The role is to support the demand planning team in managing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for the products. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring sales trends, reviewing inventory data, and working closely with sales, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure the availability of products while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory. You will play a key role in data management, report generation, and process optimization to improve forecasting accuracy and support the overall supply chain strategy and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
What are we looking for
Forecast and OrderSKU-level forecasting to determine how much stock to buy (future stock plan), considering forecasted demand, sales, and stock on hand. Track short-term and long-term performanceWork with suppliers to ensure intake is planned around supplier capacityAssist Merchandising team in implementing aspects of the category strategy to deliver KPIs including sales, profit, stock, and availabilityOwn and manage category/range & SKU level forecasts to ensure sales, profit availability are optimizedUnderstand and use relevant systems in the management of intake, availability and stockResponsible for maintaining accurate records of commitment to providing stock intake and output forecastsLiaise with the sourcing team and directly with brands and suppliers to ensure the optimal commitment and intake position is achievedWork with the supply teams to ensure that stock and availability targets are metProcess Improvement:Assist in identifying and implementing best practices to improve forecasting accuracy and streamline the demand planning processSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand forecasting and inventory management practicesImprove efficiency and reduce manual effortAd-hoc Support:Provide ad-hoc support for special projects, including new product introductions, promotional campaigns, or changes in supply chain strategyHandle urgent or complex demand-related inquiries and provide timely responses to internal stakeholdersExperience:o7+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory roleoProven experience in demand forecasting, S&OP processes, and inventory management within a fast-paced, high-volume environmentoFamiliarity with ERP and demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar tools)
