Overview POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Delivery Manager DEPARTMENT: Research & Development PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF JOB Delivery Manager is responsible for serving as the strategic interface with assigned business units for the purpose of business/IT strategy planning, development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements. Provides leadership, organizational structure and resource management for multiple Engineering teams. Establishes and organizes application development plans aligned with the goals / strategies of the business staffed with appropriately skilled technical resources. Plans work for subordinates, monitors performance, and conducts performance appraisals. Interviews and makes recommendations for additional staff. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Ensure project deliverables are accomplished on time and within budget. Communicates technical and operational issues to engineering and audit leadership in a timely manner. Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems. Support business required technology freeze periods. Work collaboratively with business partners to define and ensure the completeness and accuracy of system / technical requirements. Communication between business, client, staff and engineering teams. Manages staff, teams, and matrix resources to meet service delivery SLAs Planning and management of projects supporting Enterprise areas. Solution enhancements improving performance / availability Management of hiring, training, motivating and evaluating staff. Setting scope, resources, priorities, deadlines and deliverable schedules Facilitating discussions and consensus among various stakeholders Maintenance and management of business relationships with clients and business partner organizations. Corporate application availability and delivery meets or exceeds negotiated SLAand business/client objectives. Contributes to the productivity of the organization through on-time completion of projects associated with meeting departmental objectives. Positive trending for customer satisfaction results. Exposure to Agile / TDD / BDD based development Exposure to business process workflow analysis such as JBPM, Mendix etc. experience preferred. Organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with minimal direction Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. Troubleshoot bottlenecks and propose changes to fix them.
