Role Summary

The Database Expert will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and managing complex database systems to support efficient data storage, retrieval, performance tuning, and security. The role requires high-level expertise in creating scalable database solutions aligned with organizational requirements, providing consultancy on best practices, and ensuring data integrity.

Roles & Responsibilities

Database Design & Development

• Create effective database solutions by evaluating organizational requirements.
• Design and implement database models to store and retrieve company data efficiently.
• Examine and identify database structural needs after evaluating client operations, applications, and programs.
• Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for leadership teams.

Database Management & Optimization

• Assess database implementation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Oversee data migration processes from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Monitor database performance through regular system tests and troubleshooting.
• Integrate new features and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Consultancy & Collaboration

• Provide consultancy on database structure design, implementation, and management.
• Work closely with developers and administrators to ensure best practices in DB management, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
• Ensure scalability and compliance with data regulations.
• Guarantee seamless integration with enterprise applications.

Support & Training

• Train and support staff in database usage and management.
• Respond promptly to system issues and ensure database availability and functionality.

Extra Requirements

• Prior experience in government projects is highly desirable
