The objective of the Role:

• Run the production environment by monitoring availability and maintaining a holistic view of system health.
  
• Develop software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
  
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions.
  
• Measure and optimize system performance, aiming to push capabilities forward, anticipate customer needs, and drive continual innovation.
  
• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications.
  

• Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding.
  
• Partner with development teams to enhance services through rigorous testing and release procedures.
  
• Participate in system design consulting, manage platforms, and execute capacity planning.
  
• Create sustainable systems and services through automation and strategic uplifts.
  
• Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python/R, Hadoop, Spark, MySQL; skilled in documentation for reproducibility.
  
• Experienced in anomaly detection, machine learning, time-series data, NLP, and various ML tools.
  
• Hands-on experience with ETL and dashboarding tools like Domo, Alteryx; knowledgeable in ITSM tools like BMC Remedy.
  
• Experienced in Linux data management, JupyterHub, R applications, data science workbench, AI/ML platforms including Kubernetes; CHEF knowledge is beneficial.
  
• Expertise in managing data on edge nodes.
  
• Knowledge of Airflow is highly valuable for platform automation and process workflows.
