We own and develop Operations core system landscape and e2e operational reporting capabilities. This role is specifically part of the Data Governance team (within Enabling), which ensures strong data integrity that drive data driven decision making within P&C.

About the role We are seeking an enthusiastic and outcome-oriented Data Governance Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will support the implementation and operationalization of data governance practices, ensuring data quality, compliance, and accessibility across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional eager to contribute to the organization s data-driven culture and build out a long-term career in the data space. Day-day in the role will include the following (but not limited to) 1.Data Governance Operations: oAssist in implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. oSupport data stewardship activities, ensuring adherence to data standards and practices. oCollaborate with data owners to define and maintain data quality rules and metrics.
2.Data Quality Management: oHelp shape data quality metrics and collaborate with teams to ensure effective monitoring and steering. oPerform root cause analysis for data inconsistencies and implement corrective actions. oEnsure continuous improvement of data quality processes.
3.Data Issue Management: oIdentify, document, and manage data issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with relevant stakeholders. oDevelop and maintain an issue management workflow, including prioritization, escalation, and resolution tracking. oPartner with teams to prevent recurring data issues through process improvements and preventive measures.
4.Data Education and Training: oHelp with designing and delivering training programs to educate stakeholders on data governance principles, policies, and best practices. oDevelop resources, such as guides and toolkits, to support data literacy and governance awareness. oFoster a culture of data ownership and responsibility through regular workshops and communication campaigns.
5.Stakeholder Collaboration: oWork closely with business and technical teams to understand data needs and challenges. oServe as a key contact for day-to-day data governance activities and inquiries. oFacilitate training sessions to promote awareness of data governance principles and practices.
6.Documentation and Reporting: oMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data governance practices, workflows, and guidelines. oPrepare reports on data governance performance, including progress on initiatives and data quality improvements.
7.Metadata Management: oContribute to the development and maintenance of metadata repositories and data catalogues. oPromote the effective use of metadata tools to enhance data understanding and accessibility.About You Experience: o5+ years of demonstrable experience as a data governance practitioner or in relevant data management fields. oGood understanding of enterprise data management principles, data quality frameworks, and metadata management. oProven experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration. oResults orientation with a clear track record of execution and pragmatism in prioritization a "safe pair of hands."
Technical Skills:
oHands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, or similar) oProficient in Excel and PowerPoint oProject management experience will be beneficial.
Soft Skills:
oShould be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity (e.g., ability to handle diversity and work in a matrix organization). oStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment. oDedicated and able to work independently as well as with global teams. oAttention to detail: A passion for detail while keeping the big picture in mind. oPositive mindset and passion for solving problems, curiosity for learning new concepts, and enthusiasm for experimentation. oOpenness and flexibility to take on new tasks and challenges.
