Job Role : Data Governance Specialist

• 12+ years in data governance, enterprise data management, or related fields.
• Proven track record implementing data governance programs in medium to large enterprises.
• Strong understanding of data quality, MDM, data privacy, metadata, and lineage.
• Hands-on experience with governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or Purview).
• Experience with data management technologies such as Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Redshift, or BigQuery is preferred.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Certifications :

• DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• Collibra Ranger or Alation Steward certification
• CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) optional

The Data Governance Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework that aligns with the organizations business objectives and compliance requirements. This role ensures the availability, integrity, security, and usability of data assets while promoting accountability and ownership of data across the enterprise.
