Data Engineer

.This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure that support critical business processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, model data efficiently, and deploy scalable solutions on cloud platforms. The role involves hands-on engineering, mentoring peers, and ensuring performance and reliability of large-scale data systems. You will leverage modern tools and frameworks to implement high-quality solutions while influencing technical best practices across the team. Accountabilities:
- Build and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines and ingestion solutions
- Design and optimize data models to support business analytics and operational needs
- Implement operations architecture and conduct performance engineering for large datasets in production
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Mentor junior engineers, promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and problem-solving
- Work independently as a technical consultant, contributing as an individual contributor while guiding the team
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in data engineering
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Redshift, Bedrock, Lambda, and Data Connectors
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with FastAPI framework for API development and database connectors
- Knowledge of relational databases and cloud data warehouses
- Experience in Generative AI implementations using LLM frameworks (e.g., AWS Bedrock)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and technical leadership skills
