Summary:The Associate Director Engineering Information Management (EIM) Delivery is a senior leadership role responsible for driving end-to-end delivery, operational excellence, and team capability across large-scale Engineering Information Management and Digital Engineering programs in the Capital Projects and Asset-Intensive industries.This role will lead system integration, implementation, and transformation projects involving technologies such as Aveva EIM, Hexagon SmartPlant Suite, Siemens COMOS, OpenText, and similar platforms. The individual will combine deep domain expertise in engineering data and document management, project information handover, and asset lifecycle management with strong delivery management and client leadership capabilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee delivery of complex EIM and engineering data management transformation programs across multiple clients and industries.-Ensure project execution excellence across all delivery dimensions scope, schedule, quality, risk, and budget.-Define solution delivery roadmaps integrating multiple engineering systems (design, document control, and asset handover).-Provide architectural and functional oversight on Aveva, Hexagon, Siemens, or OpenText implementations, ensuring alignment with client digital engineering objectives.-Establish and enforce delivery governance frameworks, best practices, and QA processes for all EIM engagements.-Act as executive sponsor or program director, guiding cross-functional global delivery teams and ensuring alignment with business outcomes.-Lead a specialized EIM delivery unit comprising solution architects, consultants, and technical specialists.-Own talent strategy for the EIM practice including hiring, capability building, performance management, and succession planning.-Mentor and develop delivery managers and architects to strengthen leadership depth and technical excellence.-Drive a culture of continuous learning, engineering domain fluency, and innovation in project execution.-Manage the delivery and financial performance, including utilization, profitability, and operational KPIs.-Institutionalize standards, accelerators, and frameworks for consistent EIM solution delivery.Oversee quality and compliance with organizational standards, client contracts, and regulatory requirements.Partner with internal functions to drive automation, reusable assets, and delivery productivity improvementsBuild and sustain executive-level relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on digital engineering and information management.Support pre-sales and business development by contributing to solutioning, effort estimation, and client presentations.Shape strategic account plans and identify opportunities for expansion within existing and new clients.Represent the organization at client steering committees, partner forums, and industry events focused on EIM and digital project delivery.
Professional & Technical Skills:Deep understanding of Engineering Information Management (EIM), Digital Twin, and Asset Information Handover processes in capital projects.-Hands-on expertise with one or more platforms such as:-Aveva Engineering & EIM Suite (NET, PDMS, E3D, AIM)-Hexagon SmartPlant Suite (SPF, SPI, SPPID, SPO, SDx)-Siemens COMOSOpenText Documentum or Extended ECMAutodesk Vault / BIM 360Strong knowledge of EPC and Owner Operator workflows, including document management, engineering deliverables control, revisioning, and as-built handover.Experience integrating EIM systems with project control, scheduling, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle PPM, SAP, Primavera).Proven ability to deliver large global implementations with distributed teams and multi-vendor environments.Familiarity with cloud migration, data governance, interoperability standards (ISO 19650, CFIHOS), and AI/automation in information management.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and client engagement skills.Certifications in project/program management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) and relevant vendor technologies (Aveva, Hexagon, Siemens, OpenText) preferred. Strong experience managing multi-million-dollar delivery portfolios and large engineering information transformation programs.
Additional Information:The candidate should have minimum 18 years of experience in in the Engineering, Capital Projects, or EPC sector, including 10+ years leading EIM or Digital Engineering system deliveries.This position is based at our Bengaluru office.Bachelor or master's in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
