Position Title: Data Analyst cum Accountant

Department: Finance

Reporting To: Finance Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

The Data Analyst cum Accountant is responsible for managing financial accounts along with analyzing organizational data to support decision-making. The role combines accounting functions with data analysis, reporting, and MIS activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations
• Handle accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare vouchers, invoices, and expense statements
• Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow statements
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure statutory compliance related to GST, TDS, PF, ESI (as applicable)
• Support internal and external audits
• Maintain proper documentation and financial records

Data Analysis & MIS Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze financial and operational data
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and performance summaries
• Analyze trends, variances, and key financial indicators
• Support management with data-driven insights and forecasts
• Maintain databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Generate periodic reports for management review

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Experience with accounting software (Tally / ERP / SAP – preferred)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication and reporting skills

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com / BBA / MBA (Finance) / B.Sc (Statistics / Data Analytics)
• Certification in Data Analytics / Advanced Excel / Accounting is an added advantage

Experience

• 1–4 years of relevant experience in accounting, data analysis, or MIS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
