Data Analyst

About the Company

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. This is a classic Data Analyst role that requires strong expertise in data analysis, data design, and modelling within a Data & Analytics environment.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience and demonstrate exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), along with strong organisational and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leverage advanced data toolsets and scripting languages to explore, analyse, and interpret complex datasets.
• Work collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Product Owners, and Business Users to understand requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, create compelling visualisations, and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Design and implement data extraction routines, optimise data queries, and ensure data integrity across all analytical projects.
• Plan and facilitate sessions with multiple stakeholders, managing discussions and requirements gathering efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in data analytics.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Data Analysis, Data Design, and Data Modelling.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Stored Procedures.
• Experience with AWS Athena and Snowflake.
• Expertise in building data pipes using Streamsets or similar ETL tools.
• Strong ability to summarise and present complex data scenarios with clear visualisations (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
• Experience with data exploration using related toolsets and scripting languages.
• Proven ability to work effectively with SMEs, Product Owners, and Business Users.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with additional cloud platforms or data warehousing solutions.
• Knowledge of advanced visualisation tools beyond Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
• Certification in data analytics or related field.
