About the Role:

Cybersecurity Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architecture and systems.

• Monitor systems and networks for security breaches or intrusions using tools like SIEM.

• Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and risk assessments.

• Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches.

• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Collaborate with IT teams to secure software, hardware, and cloud environments.

• Maintain and update firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption protocols.

• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technology solutions.

• Ensure compliance with applicable security regulations and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).

• Provide training and guidance on security best practices to other teams and staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, firewalls, and security technologies.

• Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus, Splunk, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).

• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).

• Understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
