Role Overview As Vice President of Engineering (VPoE), you will lead and scale our engineering organization to drive Select’s mission of transforming work. You’ll oversee technical strategy, engineering culture, organizational design, hiring, and product velocity. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and the business team to ensure our AI-powered enterprise products deliver tangible impact to our users. This is a key leadership role that blends strategic direction with hands-on leadership in a fast-moving, high-ambition environment. Responsibilities Define and execute technical strategy across Select’s product suite (AI platforms, microservices, security, DevOps, etc.) Lead the engineering organization, scaling from a startup team to a mature, global development organization Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, designers, sales, and customer success to drive business-aligned product innovation Own architectural decisions and technical quality for our AI-driven B2B SaaS platform, WORK AI Build and nurture a high-performance engineering culture through recruitment, mentorship, and clear goal-setting Manage remote and global teams with an emphasis on scalability, inclusivity, and alignment Basic Qualifications 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an engineering leadership role Deep experience building and operating enterprise-grade B2B SaaS platforms Strong understanding of AI/LLM technologies, enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, productivity tools), and their real-world applications Proven ability to scale engineering teams, set organizational standards, and establish high-trust collaboration Business-level fluency in either English or Japanese (fluency in both is a strong plus) Ownership mindset with the ability to act quickly in high-priority situations Preferred Skills Prior experience as a VPoE or CTO in a high-growth startup or tech company Track record in building AI-native or data-intensive enterprise applications Hands-on knowledge of MLOps, RAG architecture, or real-time systems Experience managing distributed or international teams Why Join Select?
