Job Description

Customer Support Engineer Job Overview We are seeking a Customer Support Engineer to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and after-sales service for our crane and spool product lines. This role combines hands-on engineering expertise with customer service skills to ensure customers receive timely solutions, smooth installations, and ongoing product support. Responsibilities: Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or site visits in a professional and courteous manner. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues related to cranes, spools, and associated equipment. Support customers during installation, commissioning, and operation of machinery. Provide training and guidance to customer operators and maintenance teams. Escalate complex technical issues to the design or engineering teams and follow up to ensure timely resolution. Maintain accurate service reports, logs, and customer records in the CRM or service management system. Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction. Proactively educate customers on best practices, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance. Stay updated on new product developments, technical upgrades, and industry standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. Solid understanding of heavy machinery, lifting equipment, spooling systems, and industrial components. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems (PLC knowledge is a plus). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and internal teams. Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office tools for documentation and reporting. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support customers on-site. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in crane operations, spooling machinery, or heavy equipment support.
