Additionally, the Chicago Tribune has consistently named us a Top Workplace for the past 12 years.The Customer Master Data Coordinator is responsible for creating, maintaining, and validating customer master data records with high accuracy in SAP and related systems. This role supports internal teams by ensuring data integrity, governance, and timely updates to customer master data, including creation of “Sold To”, Ship To, Bill To, Payer accounts and managing change requests. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain customer master data records in SAP within a 24-hour timeframe, including “Sold To”, Ship To, Bill To, Payer and other customer account setups.
  • Review, validate, and approve customer master data change requests, ensuring compliance with data governance policies.
  • Identify and reject duplicate customer master data requests to maintain data integrity.
  • Cleanse and verify incoming data files to ensure accuracy before loading into master data systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for customer data updates.
  • Maintain documentation of data processes, standards, and procedures related to customer master data management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer master data processes and recommend enhancements.
  • Assist junior team members with process updates and support as needed.
  • Proactively track and follow up on incomplete or delayed data requests to meet aggressive deadlines.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Customer Master Data management or related roles.
  • Knowledge of SAP Customer Master Data module is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have:

  • Previous experience working with W9 or other compliance documentation.
  • Familiarity with master data governance and change management processes.
  • Experience working in a global or cross-functional environment.

Working Hours:

  • 10.30 am to 7.30 pm – daylight saving
  • 11.30 am to 8.30 pm – non daylight saving
