Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Credit Function Leadership with Digital Mindset: Build and lead a collaborative, forward-looking credit underwriting team that embraces digital tools and analytics to streamline decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. 2. Mortgage Product Underwriting: Develop and implement robust credit appraisal frameworks for mortgage and housing finance products, ensuring accurate assessment of borrower risk and alignment with NBFC lending standards. 3. Policy, System, and BRE Testing Support: Provide continuous feedback and insights for refining credit policies, system functionality, and Business Rules Engine (BRE) to ensure seamless integration and accurate credit decisioning. 4. Policy Compliance Oversight: Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory guidelines, maintaining audit readiness and minimizing credit risk exposure. 5. STP Process Quality Monitoring: Monitor Straight-Through Processing (STP) workflows for underwriting, identifying data gaps or process inefficiencies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain quality and turnaround time. 6. End-to-End Digital Implementation: Drive the adoption and execution of fully digital credit underwriting processesfrom application to disbursalleveraging automation, data analytics, and digital verification tools to enhance customer experience and operational scalability. Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge of mortgage underwriting and credit appraisal Understanding of BRE and digital credit systems Proficiency in analyzing credit risk, financial statements, and borrower profiles Familiarity with STP workflows and digital lending platforms Knowledge of NBFC regulatory and compliance frameworks Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
