Job Description

Role & responsibilities Analyze financial statements, industry trends, and business models to assess the creditworthiness of corporate clients. Prepare detailed credit appraisal memos and risk assessments for new and existing credit proposals. Recommend appropriate credit structures, risk grades, covenants, and exposure limits. Perform regular portfolio reviews and monitor credit exposures to identify early warning signals. Collaborate with relationship managers, legal, and risk teams to ensure credit policies are met. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks. Maintain documentation standards and provide input into credit rating models and systems. Present cases to the credit committee and respond to queries during the credit approval process. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CA preferred). 7 12 years of experience in credit underwriting, preferably in a corporate or commercial banking environment. Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and credit risk assessment. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (RBI guidelines, Basel norms, etc.). Proficient in Excel and financial modeling; knowledge of credit rating tools is a plus. Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills. High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
