Credit Manager-Working Capital

Credit Evaluation & Approval

• Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using financial analysis, credit scoring, and risk assessment tools.
  
• Approve or recommend credit limits based on analysis of financial statements, payment history, and market reputation.
  
• Review and update credit policies and approval matrices regularly.
  

Risk Management

• Monitor credit exposure across accounts and implement strategies to minimize credit risk.
  
• Identify high-risk accounts and take timely actions for mitigation.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  

Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Oversee and manage the timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  
• Reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash flow through effective credit control practices.
  
• Handle escalations, negotiations, and dispute resolution with customers.
  

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare regular credit reports, aging analysis, risk dashboards, and portfolio performance updates.
  
• Track customer payment patterns and forecast potential risks.
  
• Present insights and recommendations to senior management.
  

Team Leadership (if applicable)

• Lead and mentor the credit control team.
  
• Develop team capabilities through training and performance management.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or professional certification preferred).
  
• Proven experience (3–7+ years) in credit analysis, credit control, or risk management.
  
• Strong understanding of financial statements, credit assessments, and risk metrics.
  
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) and Excel/financial modeling.
  
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  
• Attention to detail with strong decision-making abilities.
