Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Area Credit Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit assessment, financial analysis, and risk evaluation, along with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessment of borrower profiles, including repayment capacity and income stability.
• Handle loan ticket sizes up to ₹1.5 crore.
• Perform personal discussions (PD) by visiting customers’ business premises, properties, and residences.
• Evaluate actual business income and expenses beyond reported figures to ensure accurate credit analysis.
• Assess customer creditworthiness and repayment intent through document analysis, observations, and PD findings.
• Review and interpret legal, technical, and internal reports related to the property and borrower.
• Underwrite and sanction home loan or loan against property applications sourced by the sales team.
• Address post-sanction conditions and ensure smooth disbursement by resolving internal queries.
• Recommend cases to supervisors for decisions based on deviation or approval matrix.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with various internal departments.
• Maintain turnaround time (TAT) as per organizational guidelines and ensure timely decision-making.
• Adhere to company policies and processes for all loan applications.
• Monitor non-starters and first EMI bounce cases to mitigate potential risks.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports to track portfolio performance and risk indicators.
• Continuously enhance underwriting standards based on portfolio performance insights.

Key Skills and Requirements

• Graduate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in credit assessment or underwriting.
• Strong understanding of the affordable housing segment.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
