As a Credit Manager-Mortgage Rural, you will be responsible for managing the credit risk associated with mortgage loans in rural areas. Key Responsibilities Evaluate creditworthiness of potential borrowers in rural areas and make recommendations for loan approvals or denials Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessment to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations Review loan applications and supporting documents to determine eligibility and creditworthiness Develop and maintain relationships with local real estate agents, builders, and other stakeholders to generate leads and increase business Monitor and manage the performance of existing mortgage loans in rural areas, including delinquencies and defaults Collaborate with other departments, such as Retail Underwriting and Branch Credit, to ensure efficient and timely processing of mortgage loans Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes related to rural mortgage lending Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage lending, with a focus on rural areas Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and underwriting principles Knowledge of local real estate market and regulations in rural areas Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career growth and development.
