Job Description

About the Role:

Game Artist with a strong UI/UX focus

  

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and build 2D module designs

     that are fun, intuitive, and visually engaging. 
  • Create optimized characters, environments, props, and UI assets

     aligned with the game's style. 
  • Develop smooth, expressive 

    2D character animations

    , ideally using 

    Spine

     or similar tools. 
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure visual consistency across modules. 
  • Assist in 

    UI/UX design

     to enhance player experience (bonus skill). 
  • Prepare and optimize assets for integration into game engines like Unity or Cocos Creator. 
  • Contribute to brainstorming and art direction with a passion for visual storytelling. 

  

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in 2D game art and animation. 
  • Proficiency in 

    Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

    Spine

    , or similar animation software. 
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating 

    level design, character art, and animation

  • Understanding of game pipelines and how art integrates with gameplay. 
  • Solid grasp of 

    composition, color, lighting

    , and character design. 
  • Should know how to 

    optimize design assets

     for efficient game performance. 
  • Experience with 

    UX design

     principles, wireframing, and UI/UX tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD). 

  

Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with Unity, Cocos Creator, or similar engines. 
  • Basic knowledge of prototyping, visual scripting, or gameplay flow. 
  • Background in educational or story-driven game design is a plus. 



Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in Creative Direction and Art Direction to produce impactful and innovative designs.
  • Demonstrated ability in Team Leadership to inspire, manage, and mentor creative professionals effectively.
  • Strong Project Management experience, ensuring deadlines, goals, and client expectations are consistently met.
  • Understanding and execution of Branding strategies to ensure cohesive and compelling communication across channels.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in financial or fintech industries is a plus.
