Role Overview Were seeking a Creative Lead Brand & Design to serve as the visual and experience guardian of the Specsmakers brand. Youll lead a 3-member in-house design team, manage cross-functional creative needs, and ensure that every customer-facing touchpoint whether its an ad, app screen, or in-store standee is consistent, on-brand, and designed for user delight. You’ll collaborate with marketing, product, performance, social, category, and visual merchandising teams — and play an integral role in driving better creative performance and customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Brand Identity & Visual Consistency Enforce the brand guidelines created by our external agency across all child brands and platforms. - Audit and review all creatives — online and offline — for visual consistency, color systems, typography, and tone of voice. - Ensure brand guidelines are applied uniformly across: - Digital ads (Meta, Google, YouTube) - Social media posts and reels - Website and app design elements - POS systems (interface and physical branding) - In-store banners, danglers, standees, etc. Team Leadership - Manage and mentor a 3-member in-house design team (graphic designers, video editors). - Review and approve all work going out of the design team. - Streamline internal creative processes with clear request pipelines and feedback loops. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with: - Performance marketing team – to craft high-performing creatives and test variations - Social media team – to support content planning and visual execution - Product and category teams – to support campaigns, packaging, product launches - Visual merchandising team – to align retail assets with digital branding - Product development team (website, app, POS) – to ensure UI elements follow brand style and offer a seamless visual experience Creative Effectiveness & Experience Optimization - Analyze ad creatives and campaign dashboards to identify why certain visuals work and others don’t. - Conduct A/B testing on creative formats, visual hooks, and messaging layouts. - Evaluate user journeys and flows on the website, mobile app, and in-store POS to identify friction points and visual inconsistencies. - Recommend and implement UI/UX design improvements with the product team to enhance customer experience. Hands-on Execution (as needed) - Support design execution for hero campaigns, key visuals, and motion content when required. - Step in to guide quality during high-volume campaigns or new brand launches. Who You Are Experience - 6–10 years in visual design, branding, or creative direction for a consumer-focused brand (retail, D2C, fashion, FMCG, or lifestyle) - Experience owning or implementing brand guidelines across multiple touchpoints - Has collaborated closely with performance, UI/UX, and product teams - Exposure to analyzing ad performance or user behavior (even at a conceptual level) - Prior experience managing or mentoring a design team Skills - Tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Figma - Strong grasp of visual storytelling, branding, and layout systems - Understanding of basic UX/UI principles and ability to evaluate user flows - Comfort with interpreting creative performance metrics (CTR, engagement rate, etc.) - Basic video editing and animation proficiency Traits - Brand-obsessed with a sharp design eye - Proactive, structured, and deadline-driven - Clear communicator and team collaborator - Equally comfortable with strategy and execution
