Counter Sales Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Sales & Revenue ManagementAchieve daily, weekly & monthly sales targets of the counter. Plan and execute sales-boosting activities (upselling, sampling, display promotion). Monitor fast-moving & slow-moving products and prepare sales reports. Implement offers, combo schemes, and festive promotions. 2. Customer Service ExcellenceEnsure polite, professional customer interaction at all times. Handle customer complaints efficiently and escalate if required. Maintain 100% hygiene and product quality standards at the counter. 3. Team ManagementSupervise counter staff, sales boys/girls, cashier & service team. Prepare weekly duty rosters and manage staff attendance. Train staff on product knowledge, sales techniques & customer handling. Maintain discipline, grooming standards, and work ethics. 4. Counter Operations & SOP ComplianceEnsure proper opening & closing of the outlet. Oversee billing accuracy & cash handling (Cash reconciliation, UPI, POS). Ensure cleanliness, display arrangement & FIFO (First In First Out). Maintain temperature logs (cold display/chillers) for FMCG products. 5. Stock & Inventory ControlDaily stock checking, wastage controlling & stock reconciliation. Manage inward/outward stock with proper documentation. Coordinate with the warehouse/production for timely stock replenishment. Monitor expiry dates & ensure zero expired stock on shelves. 6. Reporting & CoordinationSend daily sales report (DSR) to Head Office. Report staff performance, stock issues, and customer feedback. Coordinate with HO for marketing, HR, and operations requirements. Skills & RequirementsExperience: 2–5 years in FMCG retail counter/store management. Strong communication & customer service skills. Knowledge of sales strategies, stock management & POS billing. Leadership qualities to handle counter staff. Basic computer skills (Excel, POS software). Ability to work in shifts & under pressure.
