Costing & Merchandising Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Costing & Pricing

• Analyze supplier quotes, raw material costs, and production expenses to determine product costing.
• Negotiate with vendors and manufacturers to achieve target margins.
• Work with finance and category teams to finalize MRP, discount strategy, and profitability.
• Track landed costs, duties, and logistics expenses to ensure accurate pricing.

Merchandising & Assortment Planning

• Curate and manage product listings across categories.
• Ensure catalog accuracy (images, descriptions, attributes).
• Plan seasonal assortments, pricing drops, and promotional events.
• Coordinate with marketing teams for campaigns, deals, and homepage banners.

Analytics & Reporting

• Monitor product performance (sell-through, margins, stock turnover).
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports on pricing efficiency, bestsellers, and slow movers.
• Recommend corrective actions (markdowns, re-orders, vendor changes).

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Liaise with vendors, finance, supply chain, and marketing for smooth operations.
• Support inventory planning to maintain optimum stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with company’s pricing policies and profit benchmarks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
