Cost Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build and maintain comprehensive zero-based cost (ZBC) models and should-cost estimates for rubber and plastic components (e.g., seals, gaskets, hoses, moldings, injection-molded parts).
2. Interpret and analyse engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to extract inputs for accurate cost modelling.
3. Break down and evaluate supplier quotations to identify cost anomalies, value gaps, and negotiation opportunities.
4. Work closely with Engineering, R&D, Procurement, and Finance to support design-to-cost (DTC) and value engineering (VE) initiatives.
5. Conduct benchmarking across suppliers and regions for market competitiveness and cost trends.
6. Track raw material and commodity trends to assess cost impact on critical EV systems.
7. Provide technical and cost-based support during RFQ processes and commercial negotiations with suppliers.
8. Participate in supplier audits to validate cost drivers, process capabilities, and tool/equipment cost assumptions.
9. Prepare cost reports and present findings to senior stakeholders for decision support.
10. Expertise in zero-based costing, should-cost modelling, and detailed cost breakdown analysis.
11. Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and engineering documents.
12. Proficient in Excel, cost modeling tools, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
