Cost & Estimation (Process equipment) Engineer

As an Internal Sales Engineer (Estimation & Proposal) for Energy & Processing Technologies at a leading MNC Manufacturing company in Ahmedabad, your role involves estimating costs and lead times for the EPT division. You will be responsible for performing basic engineering calculations, coordinating activities for estimating prices and deliveries of Oil & Gas industry products, and providing application and design engineering support to achieve sales and margin goals. **Key Responsibilities:** - Study RFQ/tenders in detail to estimate costs and prepare customer proposals - Perform basic engineering calculations and manage initial product design within approved procedures - Understand quality requirements, timeline limitations, and budget constraints of major projects - Accurately cost critical projects and prepare customer proposals as per company guidelines - Define applicability and solution recommendations of products to customer technical problems - Develop and modify costing programs and product presentations - Liaise closely with Projects and Engineering teams for order execution - Collaborate actively with team members to achieve company objectives **Qualifications Required:** - Mechanical Engineering degree - 7-9 years of experience in technical sales, estimation/costing, and product engineering - Experience in medium to heavy engineering fabrication companies - Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, experience in CAD, MathCAD, FEA is a plus - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English - Ability to review and interpret contract/tender bid specifications and contractual language - Capable of cost analysis, reviewing quotations, and conducting technical and company presentations - Proficient in MS Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) - Excellent analytical skills - Positive attitude and customer-centric mindset This leading MNC Manufacturing company specializes in screening & auxiliary solutions for Petrochemicals, Food, beverages & Chemicals companies.
