Role Summary
The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and consistent customer and vendor master data across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and related platforms, in a cost-efficient way. This role ensures compliance with global data standards, supports business processes, and collaborates with internal stakeholders and global contacts in Operations, Supply Chain, and business leaders to drive data quality and governance.
Expected Responsibilities
- Master Data Management
- Create, update, and maintain
Customer and Vendor Master Data
in SAP ECC and S/4HANA. - Collect and prepare reports for stakeholders/project team within specific functional area. Prepare mass load data collection files.
- Ensure compliance with global data governance policies and standards.
- Validate data accuracy and completeness before activation.
- Data Quality & Governance
- Perform regular audits and cleansing of master data.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and duplicates.
- Support implementation of data quality KPIs and reporting.
- Audit & Compliance
- Support & contribute in periodic internal audits of master data processes.
- Prepare audit documentation and ensure adherence to SOX and internal controls.
- Support external audits by providing accurate data and process evidence.
- Project Execution & UAT Support
- Participate in master data-related projects (e.g., migrations, system upgrades).
- Support
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
by preparing test cases, validating data, and documenting results. - Collaborate with IT and business teams during project rollouts to ensure smooth transition.
- Ad Hoc Business Reporting
- Generate and deliver
ad hoc reports
related to customer and vendor master data as requested by business stakeholders. - Analyze data trends and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting using SAP and other available tools.
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, technical, Supply Chain, or other related fields or equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of master data processes, critical data elements, and Lubrizol systems in one functional area.
- Good understanding of master data tables and fields and process across different functional areas in SAP.
- Basic transactional knowledge of system to use (e.g. SAP, CMRP, SAR, QAD)
- Basic knowledge of Master Data tables and fields in one functional area.
- Willingness and ability to learn audit processes, systems used, and compliance requirements.
- Basic knowledge of principles of digital tools (MS Forms, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Sharepoint, DataLake, RPA's) used within master data.
- Moderate knowledge of excel and tables within ERP systems.
- Strong organizations skills, attention to detail and time management.
- Excellent in spoken as well as written English.

- Ability to provide on-the-job 1-on-1 training to stakeholders and communicate in local language where needed.
- Ability to escalate issues and questions when needed.
