Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Control Engineer to design, implement, and optimize control systems for industrial processes and automated equipment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—mechanical, electrical, and software—to ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and compliant with safety standards.

Roles and Responsibility:

✅ Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based control systems tailored to customer and process requirements in industrial environments.

✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Lead Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Hardware Engineers to gather system specifications and develop control strategies.

✅ Develop PLC programs using industry-standard programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagrams in accordance with IEC 61131-3 standards.

✅ Integrate PLC systems with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) software to create intuitive and functional operator screens that ensure ease of use and efficient monitoring.

✅ Participate in multiple project stages such as Sales Engineering, Basic Engineering, and Detail Engineering, ensuring technical alignment throughout the lifecycle.

✅ Conduct system simulation, testing, and validation of PLC and HMI software before deployment to ensure the system meets performance and safety requirements.

✅ Support on-site commissioning and startup of control systems, ensuring they function correctly in the live production environment and meet client expectations.

✅ Provide technical support during installation and post-commissioning, assisting maintenance and operations teams in resolving control-related issues.

✅ Document control system architecture, code structure, wiring diagrams, and user manuals for internal use and client handover.

✅ Stay updated with advancements in automation technologies, PLC platforms, and control engineering best practices, applying innovative solutions where applicable.

✅ Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and customer-specific protocols, including fail-safes, interlocks, and alarm handling.

Qualifications and Skills:

✅ A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent acquired from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.

✅ 5+ years of experience as a Control Engineer.

✅ Good understanding of PLC platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Beckhoff.

✅ Solid knowledge of motion control systems, including Kinetix and Simatic.

✅ Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.

✅ Willingness to be available for international travel and to perform on-call support duties.
