About the Role

Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot

  GE Gas Turbine control systems

  (MkII/MkIV/MkV/MkVI).
• Conduct system health checks, diagnostics, and performance monitoring.
• Support

  commissioning, startup, upgrades, and retrofits

  of GE gas turbines.
• Identify and resolve faults in turbine control, protection, and sequencing logic.
• Perform tuning of control loops and optimization of turbine performance.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and operations teams during outages and maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and system configuration records.
• Ensure compliance with

  HSE standards

  and plant operating procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum

  5+ years

  of hands-on experience in

  GE Gas Turbine control systems

  .
• Strong understanding of gas turbine operation, protection logic, I/O configuration, sequencing, and alarms.
• Experience in

  EGR systems

  , control tuning, and troubleshooting complex turbine issues.
• Ability to read and interpret

  P&IDs, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and OEM manuals

  .
• Experience with commissioning/startup will be a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to relocate and work onsite in Nigeria.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in

  Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics / Control & Automation Engineering

  or related field.

• Schedule

  : Day and night shifts exceeding 12 hours during turbine outages

  : Must be willing to travel internationally, including to Nigeria and other project sites
