Key Responsibilities of Contract Management:

Drafting, Reviewing, and Negotiating Contracts

• Prepare clear, comprehensive, and enforceable agreements.
• Review terms and conditions to identify risks, liabilities, and ambiguities.
• Negotiate favorable terms while ensuring balanced risk allocation.

Risk Identification and Management

• Proactively assess contractual, commercial, and execution risks.
• Implement mitigation strategies and maintain a risk register.
• Provide early warnings to management regarding potential exposures.

Record Keeping and Documentation

• Maintain an organized contract repository, including approvals, correspondence, and variations.
• Track milestones, obligations, guarantees, insurance, and payments.
• Ensure audit readiness and transparency in reporting.

Continuous Monitoring and Reporting

• Track key dates (NTP, completion, milestone payments, BG validity).
• Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
• Highlight deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Dispute Prevention and Resolution

• Monitor performance and obligations to minimize conflicts.
• Manage claims preparation and defense (EOT, cost escalation, variations).
• Engage in negotiations, settlements, or formal dispute resolution to safeguard organizational interests.
