Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Contract Lawyer with 6–10 years of experience. The position is based in Gurugram. The Contract Lawyer will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including those related to business operations, international trade, and complex transactions. The role also includes providing legal advice on contract management, dispute resolution, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The candidate will be tasked with assisting clients through the entire life cycle of contracts, collaborating across teams, and addressing legal issues related to cross-border agreements and transactions. Interaction with clients and contributing to strategic legal decision-making is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of contract drafting, vetting, and negotiations, including experience with red-lining and finalizing legal agreements
• Strong understanding of contract life cycle management and international trade agreements
• Proven experience in dispute resolution and litigation relating to contracts
• Familiarity with compliance processes, due diligence, intellectual property rights, and statutory/legal documentation
• Exceptional analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and client management skills to liaise effectively with international and domestic clients
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and handle cross-border transactions
• Law degree from a recognized institution; Bar accreditation is required
• Prior experience within a mid-sized to large law firm or an in-house legal department is advantageous
