Job Description

About the Role

Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
policies at the project site.
Conduct
daily safety inspections
and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Deliver
Safety Induction Training
for all new workers and staff.
Organize
Toolbox Talks (TBT)
and periodic safety awareness programs.
Maintain safety documentation including:

Daily and weekly inspection reports
Incident / near-miss reports
PPE issue register
Work permit system records

Ensure
availability and proper use of PPE
by all personnel.
Monitor
scaffolding, lifting operations, electrical safety, and excavation works.
Ensure
fire safety equipment
and
first-aid facilities
are available and functional.
Coordinate and support
emergency preparedness
and
mock drills
.
Report unsafe conditions or acts and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Support
statutory compliance
as per
BOCW Act, Factory Act
, and client safety standards.
Liaise with clients safety representatives during audits or inspections.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:
Diploma / Degree in Engineering with
Diploma in Industrial Safety
(mandatory).
Experience:
1–2 years of relevant experience in
construction / industrial projects
.
Familiar with
OHSAS / ISO 45001
standards and local statutory requirements.

Skills & Attributes

Strong observation and analytical skills.
Good communication and reporting ability.
Proactive, disciplined, and confident in managing workforce safety.
Ability to train and motivate site personnel toward zero-incident culture.
