Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible to supervise all construction and project activities in the construction site in a safer way.
Maintain work permit system and ensure inspection of all work permits prior to issue and closer on time.
Inspect and verify PPEs compliance in construction site and guide concern contractors in implementation.
Inspect all tools and tackles related to construction activities like Safety belts, welding machines, grinding machine, gas cutting machine, drilling equipment etc.
Inspect and give clearance for scaffolding erection/commissioning/usage in the construction site
Responsible to record all near misses, incidents in the construction site.
Responsible for identification of unsafe act / condition and informing to concerned teams in regular intervals for immediate rectification.
Coordinate for statutory testings related to factories act and facilitate in compliance with safety regulations of all the required tools in the site.
Ensure electrical safety requirements are fulfilled on portable electrical tools used in the construction site.
Impart training through induction, Toolbox talk and refresher training.
Ensure the availability of safety equipments and operability of fire protection equipment.
Responsible for clear understanding and implementation of Fire Alarm System, Fire Hydrant system, etc. in the projects site.
Take active role in safety committee meetings, mock drills, fire drills.
Participation in periodic reviews of HSE gap analysis for compliance
Maintaining all the Documents relating to Contractor Safety Management Guideline.
Perform Contractor Safety Performance in defined procedure.
