Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    The objective of Lead Planner is to manage the preparation and maintenance updation of integrated and coordinated project programs, enabling resource and material requirements planned to meet project deliverables, using Project Planning softwares. The post holder will be expected to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the delivery team and also deal with various stakeholders professionally

Key Responsibilities of Role


    1. Prepare / review Project Planning procedure and coordinate for its establishment. 2. Review Mangement Level, L3 & L4 etc. schedules 3. To review detailed resourece requirement Plan for Project 4. Updation of Overall Schedule with cut-off date data from concrned teams / Contractors etc. 5. Review & Monitoring of Project Critical Path(s) with reporting of same to Management with possible mitigation 6. Review and monitor Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) L2/L3 level schedule. 7. Review mitigation/recovery plans, look ahead plans based on inputs from respective sources and report to Project Control Manager. 8. Change Management 9. Identify requirement of revision in schedule, raise alert of same to Project Control Manager and carry out revision in schedules. 10. Coordinate with Cost Estimator/ Controller with respect to level of congruence between planning and cost WBS. 11. Providing Project Manager and Project Control Manager with clear, timely and accurate alerts/ potential issues/ actions with which to make decisions. 12. Interact and coordinate with Top Level Management / Senior Planner / HODs. 13. Review of various MIS such as Weekly Progress Report (WPR), Monthly Progress Report (MPR), Look Ahead Plans, Management Presentation etc

Technical Competencies


    Commitment towards Safety (Lead by example, Risk evaluation & Management, Values human life, develop safety culture,Competent in Primavera, MSP and MS Office tools,Good Team player and should have good communication skill sets,Good exposure to Project Life Cycle.

Qualifications and Experience


    Qualification:- B.E./B.Tech from a reputed Institute/ University. Master's degree in the same is preferred. Experiences: 1. 12-15 years of experience in Petrochemical/ Refinery Industry. 2. At least 10 years of experience in the Planning & Scheduling role. 3. Moderate experience in all phases of Project Planning and Project Control activities from Conceptual Projects to Construction and Commissioning.
