**Job Title: Electronics Chip Level Technician / Computer Hardware Technician**

**Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electronics Chip Level Technician / Computer Hardware Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, particularly in troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices at the chip level. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing hardware issues, replacing faulty components, and ensuring the functionality and reliability of computer hardware systems. The candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues in electronic devices such as desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, and other consumer electronics.

2. Perform repairs and replacements of defective components at the chip level, including soldering and desoldering of integrated circuits (ICs), capacitors, resistors, and other surface-mount devices (SMDs).

3. Utilize specialized tools and equipment to conduct testing, analysis, and calibration of electronic components and systems.

4. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and equipment maintenance activities.

5. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop and implement solutions for complex hardware problems.

6. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

7. Keep abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in electronics and computer hardware.

**Requirements:**

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or vocational training in electronics or computer hardware preferred.

2. Proven experience as an Electronics Chip Level Technician, Computer Hardware Technician, or similar role.

3. Proficiency in soldering and desoldering techniques, including the use of soldering irons, rework stations, and hot air guns.

4. Strong understanding of electronic components, circuitry, and schematic diagrams.

5. Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.

6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

8. Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.

9. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

10. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field.

2. Previous experience working in a repair or maintenance environment, preferably in electronics or computer hardware.

3. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent.

4. Familiarity with software tools for hardware diagnostics and testing.

5. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electronics and computer hardware.

**Working Conditions:**

This position may require working in a laboratory or workshop environment with exposure to electronic equipment, soldering fumes, and other potential hazards. The candidate must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines or address urgent repair requests.
