Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled CAD Designer to join our team of artisans and fabricators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming artistic concepts, sketches, and client briefs into precise 2D and 3D digital models for metal sculptures, architectural features, and other decorative metalwork. This role requires a strong aesthetic sense, a deep understanding of metalworking processes, and expertise in CAD software to create designs that are both visually stunning and structurally sound.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design & Modeling: Create detailed and accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of metal art and sculptures using CAD software, based on artistic concepts, client specifications, and sketches.
• Collaboration: Work closely with artists, welders, fabricators, and project managers to ensure designs are feasible, structurally stable, and align with the artistic vision.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot design challenges related to material properties, fabrication techniques, and structural integrity.
• Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive technical drawings, including dimensions, materials lists, and assembly instructions, for the fabrication team.
• Material Selection: Assist in selecting appropriate metals (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper) and finishes, considering factors like aesthetics, durability, and cost.
• Project Management: Manage design files, revisions, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all changes are tracked and communicated effectively.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
